The complainant alleged that the respondent, her manager, made inappropriate personal comments and sent her unwarranted text messages. The evidence submitted in the investigation included 56 pages of text messages, some of which had been sent by the respondent to the complainant when he was drunk. On one occasion, the respondent gave the complainant a Kay Jewelry "open heart" necklace, and allegedly gave three other female employees expensive gifts when the other employees received gift cards. When the respondent found out — by reading the complainant's private Facebook messaging history — that the complainant had begun dating another employee, the respondent allegedly became very emotional and upset. The respondent denied the allegations of misconduct, stating that he said he considered the complainant a friend. The complainant stated that she quit her job as a result of the respondent's behavior.
